Lee Shipman: was chief engineer of WMTE (1340, Manistee) and WKLA (1450, Ludington) when WMTE was under the ownership of Ray Plank. During Shipman's tenure, WMTE increased power to 1000 watts and converted the tower to a folded unipole. Lee also built & installed the new studio equipment when WMTE moved to the Chippewa Hotel.
