Harriet W. Laird: was office manager, receptionist, and
bookkeeper at WMTE (1340, Manistee) in the fifties. She had a
women’s morning show with “The Syncopated Clock”
as its theme song. During the sixties and seventies, she was the
general manager of WMTE and WMTE-FM/WRRK (97.7, Manistee).
Harriet passed away in January 1989.
