Ken Kott: was a well-known WMTE (1340, Manistee) announcer for many years. He joined WMTE in the ‘50s, soon after graduation from Manistee’s St. Joseph High School. Ken called play-by-play of local basketball and football games and hosted the morning show on WMTE for many years (Herb Alpert’s Acapulco 1922 was his theme song in the sixties). He later worked for the Manistee News-Advocate and in retail sales. Ken is retired and resides in Manistee.
